Close to everything yet distant enough to enjoy laid back vibes, this small farm is ideal for building a house with gorgeous views to the valley.
The property is situated on the hills of Carbon 2 road. The neighborhood is quiet, mainly small farms of fruit lovers and permacultures projects. Some costarrican neighbors have also cattle and goats. The Hone River is near by (around 400 meters or 1200 feet), and you can access it through a common access for the people living there. The property is 2.5 km (1.5 miles) distance to clinic, gas station, supermarket, hardware store, and other services. Yet it is surrounded by nature and quiet neirghbors. It is situated 10 km frokm Puerto Viejo and 15 km from Cahuita. You can easily enjoy Caribbean crystal water beaches in about 20 minutes drive.
Electricity and city water connections are right in front of the property, which has aproximately 25m public road front. As for internet connection, the neighbors are using satellite systems (around $100/month), but they are working as well to bring the fiber optic in the area.
The land faces south east and has spots with amazing views to the green valley. The land topography is steep, and it has one natural terrace. Still, with some landscaping work, you can perfectly create another terrace to build the house, just like other neighbors has done. The steepness allows you to have the gorgeos views and also to design a gravity fed water system. You can also do a keyline design (similar to small terraces and paths) in order to optimise the potential of the land.
Even though there are some fruit trees (lemon, rambutan or mamón chino, biribá or custard apple...), the land is raw and overgrown. It needs to be worked. The soil is fertile and healthy.
