Punta Uva is located on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, just south of Cahuita and north of the Panamanian border. Punta Uva beach is also known for its amazing butterfly gardens, it has some of Costa Rica’s most exotic butterflies, including the Blue Morpho. Also, the Bri Bri Indigenous Reserve is located nearby.

Staying in Punta Uva is a little bit different from a vacation that you might be used to. This is due to the seclusion of the southern Caribbean. Large resorts and agencies haven’t overdeveloped this area and kept the natural way of the land.

The local town of Puerto Viejo is just a 10 min drive away and also easily accessible by bike. There you will find supermarkets, bars, restaurants, and banks. Plus one hour from Puerto Viejo there is a local airport, in Limon, which is only a 20min flight away from San Jose, Costa Rica's capital and largest city.
