The location of the property allows you to feel fully connected to nature while simultaneously disconnected from the hustle; since it feels isolated yet close enough to all the services you need. At only 8 Km (5 miles) you have gas station, public clinic, supermarket, hardware store, etc. You can drive 30 min to get to Cahuita National Park in one direction and in the other direction, 30 minutes to Cocles Beach. Puerto Viejo, known for its restaurants and live music scene, is 20 minutes drive.
The property is 52 hectares (128 acres) total. It has two ocean view areas. It also has a little river, with some swimming holes. It has approximatively 5 hectares (12 acres) of abandoned/overground pasture land also called “charral”. This area could be used for planting a fruit forest, or anual crops. The rest of the property is secondary and primary forest, perfect for building long distance houses, amongst nature, with an ecological concept of land management, integrated with nature and causing minimum impact.
The property has two big “miradores” or ocean view windows of 150 degrees. The biggest mirador is in a flat open area perfect for building a ranch, or common structure. Both miradores are by the beginning of the land, which is ideal for making it accesible for visitors and public events, as it can be treated separately from the rest of the property.
It is ideal for a gated community; with expansive views to ocean and mountains common spaces, as well as common crop areas, and finally individual jungle big lots.
The land is out of any conflicting areas such as indigenous territory, untitled land, protected land, etc. The surrounding lands belong to small famers. The owner is open to sell half of the land with only 1 mirador, the biggest one.
The electricity is 600 meter distance (2000 feet), and water can be obtained from a combined system of wells, rain water catchments and the little river. As a side note, the pictures and videos of the river were taken in the driest season.
